What Is KCFA Women's Ministry?
KCFA Women's
ministry is a department of Kenya Christian Fellowship in America
(KCFA); a non-profit (501) (c) (3) Christian minisry catering
to Kenyans in diaspora. Membership is open to all Kenyan women,
living in the USA, Canada, other parts of the world; also missionaries,
friends of Kenyans, or individuals who are interested in ministry
among Kenyans and Africans at large.
Currently
(2008-2011) KCFA department of Women's Ministry is led by the
National Director, Rev. Wambui Njoroge, and Deputy National
Director, Mrs. Jacqueline Kariuki. Leaders must be born again
Christians who are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to use their
ministry gifts to minister to women. They represent women in
the KCFA National Executive Board (NEB). Both are volunteers
who are elected officials by all KCFA members during the July
Annual Conference. They are elected for a term of 3 years, and
for a limit of two terms.
The Department
of Women's ministry functions within a local chapter in a given
city and state where there are chapters. Otherwise, in states/cities
where there are no chapters, the National Director for Women,
and her national leadership team can start a department. This
department lays a foundation of prayer until an all inclusive
chapter is officially started by the National Executive Board.
Who is the
department? Open to all ladies ages 18 and over who love and
appreciate women of Kenyan descent; from all tribes (ethnic),
all nations, races, denominational, and personal backgrounds.
To say the ministry is open to all ladies means this ministry
is highly inclusive: all ladies are welcome whether they are
college and career singles, independent singles, married, divorced,
legally separated or separated by other circumstances, single
parents, and widows.
What we
do: Our focus is spiritual in nature. We are about preserving
our Christian faith, our ministry call, and our dreams. We encourage
women to step out by faith and fulfill the call of God upon
their lives. We believe in passing on the baton of faith and
blessing one woman at a time. We encourage the use of spiritual
gifts; mentor leaders, and support women as they move out empowered
for ministry. We encourage outreach to those who do not know
Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We provide a safe environment
for hurting women to seek answers in order to discover who God
is and who they are in Him. We offer ministry by women to women,
heart to heart because women understand the struggles other
women face. We offer a platform for women to launch out in ministry.
In our gatherings women feel safe because they know that they
are loved unconditionally, valued and welcome. In KCFA women
are received as vessels of honor made fit by the Master for
the Master's (2 Timothy 2:20-21)
